Emily + David: A Love Shoot
You might remember Emily & David from a couple posts ago. Well, they are getting married in a couple days, so we thought we'd put together a post to celebrate their love for one another. We are very much looking forward to capturing these to on one of the must special days of their life!
Emily & David love the Beatles, which I was so excited to learn, because I am a Beatles fanatic myself! So, I had a blast making this SLIDESHOW for them! CLICK HERE to enjoy the show!
Love in an apple orchard. Emily grew up on a cherry & apple farm, so we thought fotographing part of their love shoot at an orchard would be special. So it was off to Bishop's Orchard in Guilford, right down the street from where they lived.
How sweet are they?
We went for a fun little ride on the back of a John Deere...
Isn't it cool that we have our own brand of apples? hehe
This shot reminds me of running free when we were kids, not a care in the world. Emily & David are such fun, playful people, we just had get them playing together!
A quiet, peaceful stroll...
...and back to the fun with a piggy back ride!
Check out the grasshopper that was waiting for us on David's car when we got back! How cool! He even matched David's car color!
Emily & David live in a really sweet apartment that used to be a church!
We were all tuckered out from galavanting, so it was time to relax with some wine and good food. David & Emily love cooking together, so we fotographed them making gourmet pizza. So much fun! And so delicious!
Almost ready!
Emily plays the french horn professionally, so we absolutely had to fotograph her ring on her horn....I love the way this shot turned out.
Occasionally, Emily & David enjoy smoking tobacco pipes together, so we thought going for a stroll after dinner to the park down the road would be fun. The look that Paul & I were going for here was a mysterious, Sherlock Holmes-y kind of look. What do you think?
I love the way their smoke is interwining here.

I hate cigars & cigarettes, but there is something really truly cool about smoking a pipe. Plus the vanilla tobacco smells so warm & inviting!
How could we resist staging this shot? One of my favs from the day.
This was in front of the fire station...appropriately.
Back to the apartment, it was SNUG TIME!!!
I love the geometric patterns of their living room.
We haven't photoshoped a file to have selective color in a long time because we think it can look pretty cheesy, but I couldn't resist with this one. David is into painting, and the paintings on the wall are some of his work. We thought they were fantastic and really added to the space.

HOLY PIPE SMOKE! this set is just loaded with fun stuff! you guys really took some original ideas and knocked 'em outta the park! GREAT shots!

wow, I really like this session especially the apple orchard ones...but so many nice pics! I like how you connected so well with the couple.
i love the first few shots with the apples. Super cute and totally tells you what time of year it is. LOVE the shots cooking and smokin'. Relaxation flows baby!
